This development produces 4 times the amount of energy it consumes and is also complemented by sustainable landscape and features such as a large community garden and wetlands. The Children's playground is coming in early 2020!
Nightingale Housing
We love Nightingale housing, a group of pioneers who are reshaping our cities. Nightingale is based on the idea of living simply. The Sustainable Landscape Company
The Sustainable Landscape Company works to design and build residential and public landscapes in Victoria that incorporate and support biodiversity, water conservation, sustainable use of materials, resilience, beauty, urban farming/food production and circular economy. Each year they and their parent company Australian Ecosystems propagated, plant and maintain over 2 million plants on residential landscapes, wetlands, creeklines, public open space and nature restoration projects. They have designed and constructed the public landscapes and most of the private landscapes at The Cape sustainable estate and in the past 20 years have collected seed, propagated and planted over 40 million plants on land restoration and landscape projects.
The Paddock Castlemaine
The Paddock eco village is and will be, a beautiful place to live for people who enjoy a green lifestyle. Residents enjoy high levels of comfort in customised, architect-designed homes in a peaceful bushland setting only 1.4 kilometers from the center of Castlemaine. Houses, made from timber and some recycled brick, range in size from 2 to 4 bedrooms, occupying sites between 84 to 120 square metres including a private front and back garden.
